One of the weddings I shot this past summer was the creative casual wedding of Kaet and Adam Barron. Kaet's wedding was very laid back, full of detail and mostly all do-it-yourself. The neighbors had no problem allowing them to shut down the street in her parents neighborhood to set up tents, tables, lights and have a party! Glamour magazine's wedding blog decided it worthy of coverage and my photos are there to highlight the details! Cruise on over to Glamour.com to check it out!

Shelly + Todd - Punta Cana, DR | Kory Johnson - Destination Wedding Photographer
It's exciting enough to be a part of a couple's wedding and preserve those precious moments but when you get a chance to shoot a wedding with an awesome couple and their family in the Dominican Republic, it's even sweeter! Shelly and Todd asked me to be their wedding photographer for their September wedding in Punta Cana and they supplied Niki and I with a couple days of fun in the sun as well! The wedding was beautiful and stress free just as it should be in the Caribbean!
Congratulations Shelly & Todd; I wish you the best!

Stacey + Mark Wedding Teasers
Almost two weeks ago I hopped a plane back home to Louisville where I had the pleasure of capturing Stacey & Mark's wedding in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The day started out quite rainy and gloomy but as the bridal party arrived at the church, the clouds opened up and the sun began to shine; it turned out to be a beautiful day!
I wish Stacey & Mark the best on their new adventure!

Adam & Kaet's Wedding | Louisville KY Wedding Photographer
Every wedding almost tops the next for me on a level of fun; Adam & Kaet's may take a while to be beat! I've just got through a very small amount of edits but wanted to share... enjoy and there will be more to come shortly! I had a great time going back to Kentucky... my home sweet home!

Choose your caterers wisely!
This article about a groom passing just days before the couple's wedding is awful... The caterer is refusing to give them a good portion of their money back claiming the forks for the even have already been purchased/set aside (c'mon!?!)
In this business of in any business for that matter, you have to bend some; you have to know when to take a hit, especially when you're dealing with the wedding industry. Word of mouth is KING in this business; I'm wondering how many people are second guessing hiring this caterer for their event. At least the photographer gave the bereaved her deposit back.

Little Corbin's 3 month photos...
I first got the opportunity to photograph Corbin when he was just a couple weeks old; he's grown so much in the past 3 months! I know his mother and father couldn't be more proud of this great little guy!

Pictures from Yim Yames & Bootsie Anne V-Day show...
Here are a few pictures from the wonderful Valentine's Day show last night at the Rathskeller in the basement of the Seelbach. Bootsie Anne and Jim James put on a killer show and my mind is still blown!
I along with Spin Magazine, Paste Magazine and Rolling Stone were the only photogs allowed to shoot the show, many thanks to John King for making me his official photog for the event. Also thanks to John for all he has done for our city over the past 10 years and what a way to end the Louisville is for Lovers series!
Thanks John, Yim and Bootsie!
